Deepen the application of CAPP(2)

3. Solve the problem of lack of craftsmanship and lack of innovation

As can be seen from the foregoing, enterprises have experienced the phenomenon of technician loss in the process of long-term application of CAPP, and there is also the problem of insufficient innovation power. This is an unavoidable problem in deepening CAPP application. The improvement of the quality of the craftsmanship is a contradiction with the automation of the CAPP system. However, deepening the CAPP application will inevitably lead to an increase in the automation of the CAPP system. Therefore, the process personnel themselves are a major obstacle to deepening the application of CAPP. The solution of this problem is directly related to the success or failure of deepening the application.

Deepening the application of CAPP

1. Do integration with other systems

Integration is not only a new development direction of CAPP technology, but also an effective way to solve the problems and deepen the application in the old system. The author believes that integration needs to solve the following problems:

(1) Document data integration

Early CAPP systems were generally single-line systems and were not integrated with other systems. Its input data is basically derived from the manually entered product samples or information on the drawings, and the output is a designed process file. The maintenance of process files generally includes two methods: electronic file and paper mode.

In China, the process files in electronic format are generally irregular and scattered in the name of the document or in the storage location. This is a major obstacle to the integration of CAPP with other systems. For example: Different models require the same type of tool, and different process designers may take the same or different document names. Therefore, the confusion of such documents must be resolved when integrating with other systems. Currently, one of the most effective ways to solve this problem is to use the group technology "GT" to manage the naming of documents.

The second issue with the integration of documentation with other systems is the file format issue. Early CAPP documents were basically related to a CAD system and could be integrated into other systems by making interface plug-ins (such as Active controls). Of course, this integration may not be real-time.

(2) Business process integration

CAPP's business processes range from process route selection, process design, process design, to process documentation approval and issuance. The system integrated with CAPP is generally a PDM/PLM system, and the PDM/PLM system is a powerful management system, so it is a highly desirable solution to integrate the business process of the CAPP system into the system.

There are two ways to integrate this. One is that the PDM/PLM fully manages the CAPP system and calls it as a subsystem. The other way is that the PDM/PLM is only used as a process manager, and the CAPP system is a stand-alone system. Transmitting relevant document data to the PDM/PLM system through the data conversion interface.

(3) Management integration

The CAPP system emphasizes process planning, and management of designers and design records is generally less involved. In today's quality management model, product traceability is a very important quality feature. Traceability is throughout the entire ISO9000 quality management system. A common saying in the quality world is that “no record does not happen” reflects the importance of traceability.

The process documentation, which is the basis for the production of the product, cannot be abandoned as an important quality requirement for traceability. Therefore, the CAPP system must increase the ability to manage designers and design records. At present, the PDM/PLM system has management modules such as users and versions. Therefore, integrating the CAPP system into the PDM/PLM system is an ideal method to solve the CAPP system management problem.

2. Make the most of existing data

(1) Existing data is the basis for deepening the application of CAPP

A very important aspect of deepening the application of CAPP is to improve the automation of the CAPP system and expand the application scope of the CAPP system. The process documentation accumulated by CAPP for a long time provides a solid data foundation for this. This is because the documents produced by CAPP are the process documentation related to a certain product, which is very beneficial for extracting the common features of the product. The more data, the more features that can be extracted, and the more practical the process. The situation makes it easy to add automated processing projects to CAPP. Therefore, the existing large amount of CAPP data is an important basis for deepening the application of CAPP.

(2) Existing data is the basis for establishing a product platform

Product platform technology has been successfully implemented in the automotive industry for more than 20 years. It saves development and manufacturing costs and shortens market time. It is a very successful technology in today's manufacturing industry. The design basis of product platform technology is derived from the common features of the product. These common features not only reflect the same architecture of the product, but also reflect the characteristics of the manufacturing cost is extremely small. The determination of the minimization of manufacturing costs comes from the actual consumption analysis of the production, and the actual consumption of the production depends largely on the manufacturing process of the product. Therefore, a large amount of CAPP data provides convenience for extracting the cost minimization feature of the product.

(3) Provide a basis for market development

Spare parts companies occupy a very large proportion in the manufacturing industry. Take an automobile manufacturing factory as an example, and its supporting enterprises (OEMs) have reached more than one hundred. These OEMs often face the problem of external quotations, which are often not a simple product price issue, but rather a rather complicated quotation. For example, the three major auto companies require their suppliers' quotation materials not only for manufacturing costs, management costs and profits, but also to quantify these items into each manufacturing process.

It can be said that these quotation requirements have been deeply penetrated into the manufacturing process of the product. Because the quotation period is short, it is impossible to carry out the process after the product has been formulated. In order to meet this quotation demand, an analogy should be adopted. Then, these long-term accumulations of CAPP data come in handy. With this data, the quotation cycle can be greatly shortened and the market development can be facilitated.

3. Strengthen distributed applications

With the increasingly fierce competition, the market is increasingly demanding the manufacturing industry. The speed of product upgrading is increasing year by year. The technical personnel of the company are facing unprecedented challenges. The “enterprise limitation” of knowledge makes them exhausted. Unbearable, it is difficult to deal with this kind of competition.

Collaboration between companies, companies and research institutions provides a great opportunity to solve this problem. How to make good use of the "intellectual resources" outside the enterprise has become an important issue facing many enterprises. As a key technical work in the manufacturing industry, process planning has the urgency of using these external forces. The development of network technology enables people to communicate with the world without leaving home. If CAPP wants to use the resources outside the enterprise, it must be extended to the network, but only the network is not enough. It needs to be implemented such as collaborative processing and parallel technology to achieve remote sharing.

Microscope Cover

The cover glass is covered on the material on the glass slide, which can avoid the contact between the liquid and the objective lens, so as not to contaminate the lens, and can make the top of the observed cells in the same plane, that is, the distance from the objective lens is the same, so that the observed Images are clearer.Why do you need a coverslip when using a microscope

1. Make the object to be observed form a thin film, which is easy to transmit light and easy to observe;
2. Make the specimen relatively fixed;
3. It is convenient to use the capillary phenomenon to form a gradient when adding various reagents (staining agent, acid, salt solution);
4. Avoid contamination of the specimen.

The purpose of staining the specimen with iodine solution is to make the cells more obvious under the microscope, and it can also kill the cells and prevent the cells from migrating.
