The principle of battery cells using "Q.ANTUM" technology
Hanwha QCells, a solar panel maker, announced on June 21 that the company's solar panels have achieved a conversion efficiency of 19.5% and an output of 301W, and passed the Fraunhofer ISE CalLab. The certification has created a new world record in polysilicon cell panel prototypes.
This record shows that the 1670mm x 1000mm2 polysilicon panel achieved 300W output power for the first time in the industry.
The battery unit (power generation element) uses Hanwha's technology called "Q.ANTUM" and is a four-bus (copper cell) product developed by Hanwha's research center in Talheim, Germany.
The principle of "Q.ANTUM" technology is that by carrying out a special coating process on the back of the unit, the solar energy previously wasted is sealed in the back layer, thereby increasing the power generation.
Han Hua emphasized that both battery cells and panels are manufactured using mass production equipment and adopt standard processes. The size of the battery board is the same as the existing product with 60 units, and the same materials and components are used.
