According to the latest data from the China Foreign Exchange Trading Center, the central parity of the RMB against the US dollar on February 18 was reported to be 6.5871, rewriting the record high since the exchange rate that was just created in the previous trading day.
The People's Bank of China authorized the China Foreign Exchange Trading Center to announce that the central exchange rate of the RMB exchange rate in the inter-bank foreign exchange market on February 18, 2011 was: US$1 to RMB6.5781, 1 Euro to RMB8.9544, and 100 yen to RMB7.8936, HK$1 For RMB 0.84473, 1 pound against RMB 10.69394, RMB 1 against 0.46214 ringgit, and RMB 1 against 4.4422 Russian rubles.
On the previous trading day, the central parity of the RMB against the US dollar was reported at 6.5800.
On Thursday, the US released the data on initial jobless claims last week, and the US stock market was higher. The international exchange rate continued to show a weak adjustment. The central parity of the RMB against the US dollar rose above 6.58, a new high.
