How do CAD drawings generated in a 2D CAD environment generate entities in 3D software? This is a problem faced by many designers, especially designers who need both 2D and 3D CAD software at work. Today, let's share with you how DWG drawings interact with 3D software to generate entities.
The following figure (Fig. 1) is the design drawing that was originally completed in a two-dimensional CAD environment and scaled by 1:1. We opened it in Zhongwang CAD2011 and browsed the contents of the drawing. Then look at how to complete the design of the cover plate based on this picture in Zhongwang 3D.
1. Start the 3D2010 version of Zhongwang and create a new blank part file, as shown in Figure 2:
2. Click the “OK†button to enter the main working space of Zhongwang 3D. In the main workspace, click on the right button and select the “Insert Sketch†menu. Use the XY plane as the reference surface to enter the sketch drawing space. See the next two figures ( Figure 3, Figure 4):
