PET bottle single-layer barrier new technology to achieve industrialization

It is reported that the new technology of PET bottle barrier named MonOxbar, developed successfully by Constar International, a plastic container production plant in Philadelphia, is industrialized. The raw materials for the bottle are the company's Oxbar and PET blends, which are processed into single-layer structural bottles. The company released information on MonOxbar after the product was approved by the US FDA for use in contact with food. The blend has been approved to meet US and European regulations for food contact materials. PET bottles produced with the MonOxbar technology are suitable for packaging and storing oxygen-sensitive foods and beverages such as pasty sauces, seasonings for kitchens, high-vitamin beer products, and processing applications including jars and hot-fill bottles. For a variety of products, the company is preparing its own production of MonOxbar bottles, as well as pre-molded products for blow molding (blow molding) processing plants, which can be further processed into their own designed and required packaging containers.
