Hangzhou's furniture industry is entering the fast track of structural adjustment and industrial upgrading. Recently, the reporter learned at the inauguration ceremony of the Hangzhou Furniture Chamber of Commerce Jiande Branch that, according to the three-year action plan of the Hangzhou furniture industry, by the next year ( 2011 ), Hangpai Furniture will basically establish a backbone enterprise as a leading, professional SME Hangzhou furniture industry chain with division of labor support and smooth trade circulation. The local supporting capacity of products reaches over 60% , the annual sales output value increases by more than 20% , and the total sales output value reaches over 20 billion yuan.
According to reports, after more than 20 years of development, Hangpai Furniture has initially formed an industrial cluster that mainly manufactures office furniture, outdoor furniture and upholstered furniture, supplemented by various types of products such as raw and auxiliary furniture materials, hardware and woodworking machinery. In its embryonic form, a group of enterprises with sales output value of over 100 million yuan, such as Gujia Crafts, Shengao, Rongye, Hanxin and Chunguang, have emerged. Among them, the characteristics of office furniture are particularly obvious, and it is the second largest production base in the country. Regardless of the design, production process and brand building, the products have a high reputation and market share among similar products at home and abroad.
" But Hangzhou Furniture also has problems such as relative shortage of raw material resources, shortage of high-quality designers and management talents, and serious land constraints. " Chen Guirong, president of the Hangzhou Furniture Chamber of Commerce, said, " At present, our city's furniture industry has 30% raw material supporting capacity . Compared with 70% of Anji and 90% of Guangzhou, there is still a big gap. " As a traditional industry, the furniture industry occupies a large area, and the contradiction between the desire of enterprises to expand production capacity and the shortage of industrial land is becoming increasingly prominent. At present, in order to expand the capacity, some furniture companies in Hangzhou have to relocate to Haining and Deqing.
Hangzhou Furniture Chamber of Commerce Jiande Branch was established in this context. The branch absorbed more than 70 small and medium-sized enterprises supporting the furniture industry of the original Jiande Wood Industry Association , and took an important step to integrate the upstream and downstream industrial chains and strengthen the industrial support. On the same day, Jiande Furniture Industry Park signed an agreement to invite investment and cooperation, and expanded the hardware and tool industrial functional area in Gantan Town, Jiande City, and set aside 500 acres of industrial land for Hangzhou furniture companies who wanted to "go west " to settle in the local area .
